Hello! This is Craig. I hope everyone has been keeping warm these last few days. It’s a struggle. Some people have said to me that because I’m Canadian, I should be able to handle the cold. However, this can’t be further from the truth. Back in Canada, my friends would laugh at how much I would shiver after a few minutes of being outside. Even here in Japan, I feel uncomfortably cold from December to March. Getting out of bed is always the hardest part of the day. Recently, I’ve found something fun to get into...watching car racing. Tyler introduced me to a show about Formula 1 racing last year, and since then I’ve been hooked. Seeing the drivers push their cars to the limit gets my own heart pumping. The most exciting parts to watch are seeing drivers fight to pass each other. At those high speeds, the slightest mistake can be the difference between victory and defeat. Japan has a very unique race series called Super GT. Unlike Formula 1, Super GT teams use cars based on regular production models, for example, Nissan GTRs, Toyota Supras and Honda NSXs. Each team has two drivers and they will switch places at some point during the race. Last year, races were held in Suzuka, Fuji and Motegi. The regulations are pretty complicated but they keep the race very competitive. Every team has a chance at winning each race. I’m looking forward to the new season starting in the spring. Finding new things to get into helps keep life interesting. Friends are a good source for recommendations so don’t hesitate to ask them for suggestions, and who knows, maybe you’ll find a new hobby. #箕面英会話 #英会話スクール
