お母さんが息子の部屋に入ってくる。
母「サム、寝る時間やで。変な顔して何してんの？」
サム「口笛吹く練習してるねん。」
母「なんでこんな時間から口笛の練習始めんの。」
サム「だってトムが口笛吹かれへんかったら女の子にもてへんでって言うんやもん。」
母「そんなことあるかいな。サムは口笛は吹かれへんし、ウィンクもできへん、水にもぐられへんけど、かっこええと思うよ。」
サム「僕をなぐさめようとしてんの、それともけなしてんの？」
母「もちろん慰めてるんやんか。で、女の子にもてるホンマの秘訣知りたい？」
サム「うん！」
母「ママに優しくするねん。それが秘訣。」
サム「はいはい、ママ。もう寝るわ、おやすみー。」
Mom enters her son’s bedroom.
Mom "Sam, it's bed time. Why are you making a funny face?"
Sam "I’m practicing whistling."
Mom "How come you started practicing at this hour?"
Sam "Because Tom told me that girls won’t like me if I can’t whistle."
Mom "That’s not true. I think you’re handsome even though you can’t whistle, wink, or put your head under water."
Sam "Are you trying to make me feel better or worse?"
Mom "Of course, I’m trying to make you feel better. So, do you wanna know the real secret to being popular among girls?"
Sam "Yeah."
Mom "Be nice to your mom. That’s the secret."
Sam "OK, Mom. I’ll go to bed. Good night."
