母「あ、せや。昼ごはんの温め方覚えてる？電子レンジに入れて、それから…」
息子「わかってるって。もうええから。」
母「あらそう。じゃあ行ってくるね。」
息子「はいはーい。」
母「あ、もう一つあったわ。知らない人が来ても出たらあかんよ。」
息子「お母さん。僕も12歳やねんから、留守番はまかせてや。」
母「ほんま？じゃあ、洗濯物を後で取り込んどいてくれへん?」
息子「あー。それはできるかわからんなぁ。」
母「なんでやねん。」
Mom “Ok, I’m off.”
Son “Ok, have a good day!”
Mom “Oh, right. Do you remember how to warm up your lunch? Put it in the microwave, then push…”
Son “I know, mom. Don’t worry.”
Mom “Good. Ok, I’m leaving now.”

Mom “Ah, one more thing. If someone comes to the door, don’t answer it, stranger or not.”
Son “Mom, I’m 12 years old. You can count on me while you’re out.”
