アリーシア「どないしたん？」
ニコル「昨日アンティークショップで可愛いカップ見つけてんけどな、めちゃ高かったから諦めて店出ようとしたら、そこの店の人が「これはハリウッド女優からも人気のアンティークカップで世界に10個しかないんですよ。」って言いはるねん。」
アリーシア「世界に10個？」
ニコル「ハリウッド女優とお揃いやで！めちゃ欲しくなってきて。。」
アリーシア「ほんでなんぼやったん？」
ニコル「値札には10万て書いててんけど、その店の人が特別に5万にしときますって言いはるねん。だから嬉しくなって買ってしもた！」
アリーシア「えー。」
ニコル「今考えたらさ、ほんまに世界に10個しかないものなんやったら、そんな値引きしたりせんよな？」
アリーシア「まぁ、今さら言うてもしゃーないわ。次から気つけや。」
Nicoll “I messed up. I think I might have got ripped off.” Alicia “What happened?” Nicoll “Yesterday I found a nice cup at an antique shop, but it was too expensive. So I was about to leave the shop, when the staff said “there are only ten of those cups in the world. It’s a hot item among Hollywood actresses.”” Alicia “Only ten in the world?” Nicoll “I can own the same cup as some Hollywood superstars! So then I couldn’t help myself.” Alicia “How much was it in the end?” Nicoll “The price tag said ¥100,000 but the staff offered it to me for ¥50,000. I was happy with that, so I ended up buying it!” Alicia “Oh gosh.” Nicoll “But looking back now, would they really have given me such a huge discount if it were a 10-of-a-kind cup?” Alicia “Well, hindsight is 20/20. You’ll be careful next time.”
